The Government of Castilla – La Mancha has approved the new direct aid for companies and self-employed people in Castilla-La Mancha affected by COVID,which will have a value of more than 206 million euros, and which will be accessible to around 400 different activity groups.

Note that the approval of these aids has been advanced to the completion of the processing of Royal Decree 64/2021, of June 1,which establishes these direct aids for companies and self-employed in Castilla-La Mancha, whose objective is to alleviate the effects caused by the economic crisis generated by COVID.

Aid for self-employed and Castilian companies from La Mancha that are directly granted and have a finalist character, which will be paid in advance and will have to be destined to the payment of debts, or to the payment of suppliers accrued between March 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021, as well as the payment of fixed costs that are still pending payment, such as salaries, and / or financial debt.

Who can benefit from castilla-La Mancha’s COVID aid for the self-employed and companies?

The line of aid to self-employed and companies in Castilla – La Mancha due to COVID is the most open, being able to access them 300 activity groups (CNAE) plus the 95 contemplated by the state decree. In total, companies and freelancers from 395 different activities will be able to benefit from them.

Highlight the incorporation of new sectors such as footwear, wine, aesthetic hairdressing or livestock farms,with the intention of giving voice and helping all sectors that are going through a complicated time and need support from the Castilian Government of La Mancha.

Amount of aid for the self-employed and companies affected by COVID

Direct aid for companies and self-employed in Castilla-La Mancha will range from 3,000 to 200,000 euros,as established by the Royal Decree. Note that there are two different models to access these aids.

  • Companies or freelancers in objective estimation regime:up to 3,000 euros.
  • Other companies that prove a 30% drop in their turnover:between 4,000 and 200,000 euros.

In this way, companies with up to 10 workers will receive aid that will cover up to 40% of the losses,while those with more than 10 workers, the aid may represent up to 20% of the declared losses.

Requirements to access direct aid for companies and self-employed in Castilla-La Mancha

The first requirement is that it is essential to demonstrate a 30% drop in operations, the annual turnover declared, or that this fall has been verified by the Administration itself, through the VAT declaration of 2020, compared to 2019.

Likewise, the beneficiaries must comply with a series of obligations:

  • They will not be able to distribute benefits this year or the next.
  • They must maintain the activity until June 30, 2020 at least.
  • Increases in the remuneration of the top management of companies in the next two years cannot be approved.

And, as we have mentioned before, the aid must be used to pay debts,or to the payment of suppliers accrued between March 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021, as well as the payment of fixed costs that are still pending payment and / or financial debt.

Once Royal Decree 64/2021 has been published, the aid may be requested through the electronic headquarters of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla – La Mancha,with a deadline to submit the application from June 10 to July 9, 2021.
