A second flat rate has recently been approved that will benefit only self-employed women. The aid for entrepreneurs will be aimed at women whose work is included in the first contribution group of the Special Social Security Regime who return to work after their maternity leave. The new regime has welcomed more than 500,000 entrepreneurs.
Among the new modifications introduced this year 2017 for Spanish freelancers
was that, although the fee had risen, it was now possible to benefit from a flat rate of € 50 for 12 months. The form of payment could make it easier to pay the fees to be more distributed than the fact of paying without any partition to the Social Security.
This new aid for self-employed women is covered by the same form of payment.
That is, the new flat rate for women entrepreneurs will benefit from a payment of € 50 to be paid during the twelve months following the immediate incorporation into work.
However, it should be noted that the new aid will benefit only women who are in the Special Social Security Scheme, in the first contribution group, within the scheme of self-employed workers of sea workers.
The self-employed woman, in turn, will have numerous advantages in terms of her bonus for common contingencies. This new regime has welcomed more than 500,000 entrepreneurs.
X-raying the Flat Rate for Self-Employed Women
The aid for self-employed women will be added to the extension of the quota of € 50 for self-employed in one year. The self-employed woman will also have a twelve-month grant. The measure is one of the most remarkable novelties among the new series that the self-employed have.
To access the flat rate for self-employed women, it is not necessary to wait 2 years since the activity was stopped to be able to benefit from it. It is only necessary to register with the Social Security.
In addition, the deduction for the self-employed of up to 26.67 euros per day for the allowances will also benefit the self-employed woman.
In particular, the approval of this second case will benefit women who are included in the first contribution group within the Special Social Security Regime for Sea Workers.
A self-employed woman who, after her
maternity leave,
has resumed her activity within two years of the date on which she ceased, will be able to take advantage of this new aid.
In addition to the flat rate for self-employed women, benefits will be reflected in common contingencies, with a bonus of up to 80% for self-employed women, including temporary disability or sick leave.
The amount for temporary disability will be € 50 per month in the twelve months following the date of return to activity.
However, there is a requirement that self-employed women must contribute to the minimum basis established in the special scheme for self-employment, in general. Likewise, among the aids for self-employed women, measures have also been included for the reconciliation of work and family of the self-employed woman.
Grants for Women Entrepreneurs in Spain
The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, together with the Chamber of Commerce, created grants for women entrepreneurs with the Business Support Program for Women (PAEM). The result was approximately 2,500 women-led companies.
Thus, among the new grants for women entrepreneurs, the aforementioned rate for self-employed women stands out, with € 50 per month for women entrepreneurs during the first 6 months, if the minimum base is quoted. Aid for women entrepreneurs who have registered for the first time or who have been unemployed for activity for 5 years or more.
In turn, there is an additional bonus of 30% for women under 35 with the same time limit.
This aid can be requested in one year after ceasing to benefit from the flat rate for self-employed women. It focuses mainly on women between 25 and 45 years of age with higher education who can also benefit from the current PAEM that will offer them advice, conciliation and financing.
Finally, it should be noted that the aid for self-employed women allows them to undertake while benefiting from their unemployment quota. In this way, they can ask the Social Security to pay the unemployment at once and thus, invest it in their project or pay the fees.
The new flat rate scheme for self-employed women has been taken advantage of by approximately 650,000 women entrepreneurs. In Spain, the entrepreneurial activity rate (APR) has recently stabilized at 4.5%. In addition, the difference with respect to male entrepreneurs has been reduced by 30%.
